George Clooney Donates $25K To Writers On Strike

The writers strike continues to cripple production in Hollywood and families in the industry are starting to feel the financial sting. George Clooney reportedly has donated $25,000 to help writers and their families hurt in the strike.

Clooney sent the money to the Actors Fund which gives emergency relief to entertainment industry workers. George also said he will continue to make ongoing donations to the relief agency and is asking for other celebrities to contribute as well.

“My hope is that people who can afford it will take responsibility for this and help out,” he told Variety.

George Clooney has always had a big heart and it’s nice to see him helping out a good cause. The writers are an important, under appreciated part of Hollywood. Let’s hope others stars follow his lead like his pal, Brad Pitt.
