When Heather Mills showed up in Hyde Park at the unveiling of a series of billboards featuring the former model promoting pro-vegan sentiments, a number of people wondered if she wasn't passive-agressively taking a pot-shot at her ex-husband, Paul McCartney. The advertisements that were peeled off to reveal the Viva! billboards for which Mills had posed were advertisements for the National Domestic Violence Helpline, leading to speculation that Heather was hoping to draw attention to her former accusations of abuse by McCartney against her during their marriage. However, Viva! claims it's the result of unfortunate timing, and nothing more, according to their rep:
"They were for an old campaign that is nothing to do with us."Oh, I don't know who to believe, this divorce has been so ridiculous, but I do have to give Heather points for agreeing to be on a billboard, with the phrase, "You haven't got a leg to stand on," in the background. I would have given her even more points if she had been attempting to jump a pogo-stick in the picture, but that is asking a bit much.
