Jessica Simpson's rendition of Dolly Parton' song "9 to 5," has been cut from Kennedy Center Honors set for broadcast on CBS Dec. 26.
People Magazine reports that , Simpson botched the lyrics when she originally performed the song live, then recorded it again for the broadcast show. However, Simpson's spokesperson, Cindi Berger, told the Associated Press after Simpson had viewed the tape, "She really wasn't happy with her performance, and she did want it to be perfect for Dolly, who she idolizes."
George Stevens Jr., the show's producer, said, "We appreciate the time and energy Ms. Simpson put into this event and respect the high standards she has for herself and that of the Kennedy Center Honors."
Meanwhile, Female first UK is reporting that Jessica Simpson almost became an agoraphobic following her divorce from Nick Lachey.
The 'Dukes of Hazzard' actress hid away at home after the split and her family feared she would become a recluse because she suffered panic attacks when they forced her to go out.
A source told Britain's More magazine: "Earlier this year, she started staying home more and more.
"Her problems developed for a while and got worse after her divorce from Nick.
"She barely left the house unless she was working. It got so bad she suffered panic attacks. It felt as if the world was closing in on her. Her blood pressure rose, she got dizzy and she actually felt as if she was suffocating."
But thanks to her family and friends Jessica, 25, got her confidence back and she has been stepping out with confidence to attend parties and show off her curvy figure.
In other news, Jessica Simpson's Shreveport, La. production of featue film "Blonde Ambition" is going straight to DVD, a bad sign, and the crew has made comments to the media about Simpson's inability to pull off her scripted lines reports Monster and Critics.
