Wyclef Jean Thinks Lauryn Hill Is Bipolar!
WYCLEF Jean isn’t angry with Lauryn Hill, who broke up the Fugees just as the band was peaking to go solo. “I felt sorry for her, because I think she needs psychiatric help. I felt like she’s bipolar. You can’t get angry with someone who’s sick,” Jean tells Rolling Stone. “So I even called her mom, and I stressed to her, ‘Yo, you need to get her psychiatric help.’ But I think they all fear her to death. She wasn’t always like this - but if someone has the ego and you keep feeding the ego, it’s going to turn monstrous.”

  • The only reason I suspect she might have bipolar disorder is because, if you watch her on Unplugged she seems to be exhibiting flight of ideas, her speech is pressured, and she doesn't seem aware of how long she is going or how tangential she is....

  • I think Wyclef has a lot of nerve putting her on BLAST like that!! What about his loyalty to her as a ex boyfriend, a band member, and a childhood friend ?? It doesnt sound sincere at all. She may have some issues, but I dont think its to the extent...

  • bipolar has nothing to do with ego...its genetic and its triggered by stress usually happens to people in mid/early 20s or after childbirth...
