But here’s the actual synopsis, courtesy of Hudgens herself:

“It’s senior year,” the actress said, “so there’s going to be graduation — and prom!”

Ashley, Vanessa and Zac share a High School Musical hug.

Added High School Musical 3 director Kenny Ortega: “All of the original cast will be back. [But] I have a feeling this will be the end [for the current stars]. This franchise may move to another generation!”

Does that mean Miley Cyrus could be starring in High School Musical 4?!?

  • I'm really really happy that Vanessa Hudgens will be in High School Musical 3, after all the trials that came to her life.. and it's also okay that Miley Cyrus will be in High School Musical 4!! I promise that I will watch all sequels of HSM, and i wish that they will have infinite sequels!! And I hope that Zac and Vanessa will still be in a good relationship, and i hope Zac Efron will still support Vanessa Hudgens.. I love ZaNessa FOREVER!! Hope you love each other and I'll support the two of you until the last breath of my life!! I love you both!!

  • I'm happy that Miley Cyrus will be in High School Musical 4... but not as one of the main characters, i still want the ORIGINAL CHARACTERS to be in the following sequels!! I hope High School Musical will have infinite sequels and ZAC EFRON, VANESSA HUDGENS, ASHLEY TISDALE, LUCAS GRABEEL, CORBIN BLEU and MONIQUE COLEMAN will STILL BE INCLUDED as the MAIN CHARACTERS!!

  • I'm not sure if I will watch HSM 4 if the originail cast isn't in it. It just isn't right when you have a trilogy going with all the original people and then another mvie comes out and it has different people in it. It't totally retarded!! I like Miley and everything I just don't like different people playing in movies that already have the main faces. It make watching them weird!

  • I'm not in favor if miley cyrus will start the hsm4 coz i dont think that she deserves it. She is only about 15 yr old girl, and it can put more pressure on her because of the expectations of the people.. She can never replaced the original cast of hsm.. And miley cyrus is more comedy,,she cannot even act drama or romance.. and she ddnt even know how to dance..   • To me, High School Musical will always be the original cast - I don't think I'd be able to watch HSM 4 if it didn't have Zac and Vanessa and Ashley and everyone else in it! They started a phase, and an era, and I think they should fini too.

Not good.I'm really really happy that Vanessa Hudgens will be in High School Musical 3, after all the trials that came to her life.. and it's also okay that Miley Cyrus will be in High School Musical 4!! I promise that I will watch all sequels of HSM, and i wish that they will have infinite sequels!! And I hope that Zac and Vanessa will still be in a good relationship, and i hope Zac Efron will still support Vanessa Hudgens.. I love ZaNessa FOREVER!! Hope you love each other and I'll support the two of you until the last breath of my life!! I love you both!!I'm happy that Miley Cyrus will be in High School Musical 4... but not as one of the main characters, i still want the ORIGINAL CHARACTERS to be in the following sequels!! I hope High School Musical will have infinite sequels and ZAC EFRON, VANESSA HUDGENS, ASHLEY TISDALE, LUCAS GRABEEL, CORBIN BLEU and MONIQUE COLEMAN will STILL BE INCLUDED as the MAIN CHARACTERS!!
