Even in death, Anna Nicole Smith's story continues to fascinate and surprise us. While she may have been endless tabloid fodder in life, it’s in her death that we finally get a glimpse into the sordid life of the small town girl turned big time media circus.
The latest chapters in Anna Nicole's scandal-filled life come in rapid succession, as revelations are made on an almost daily basis about what really went on behind closed doors. We've seen the unhealthy cocktail of substances found in the blond bombshell's refrigerator, heard about trysts with the Bahamanian Immigration Minister that led to his approval of Anna Nicole's Bahamanian residency, and taken count of the many would-be fathers for daughter Dannilynn.
Now, it's been revealed that in the weeks leading up to Dannilynn’s birth, Anna Nicole was on a variety of potentially deadly prescription drugs, including methadone. In particular, the methadone was prescribed to one of Anna Nicole's aliases, Michelle Chase, making the prescription illegal as it was filed under a false name. In addition, Anna Nicole had prescriptions for the morphine-like Demerol, an injectable form of vitamin B12, and sleeping pills. Not exactly pre-natal vitamins.
Poor Dannilynn suffered at the hands of Anna Nicole Smith even after birth, though. A former nanny for the late actress has claimed that Anna Nicole forbade her from feeding Dannilynn the recommended amount of food for a new baby. The starlet supposedly wanted her baby to be underweight and "sexy". Apparently Anna Nicole's get-skinny complex rubbed off on her mothering skills, projecting anorexia onto the infant.
We may never know what went on in the mind of Anna Nicole Smith, but we are guaranteed to find out more about the craziness that filled her short life.
