Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Melanie Brown and Emma Bunton performed 22 songs, which included tracks from their solo careers as well as some of the tunes which made them famous.
They opened with their signature song, “Spice Up Your Life,” followed by “Stop” and “Say You’ll Be There.”
David Beckham were present that night to support his wife and the girls.
Some early reviews says, Spice Girl’s world reunion tour that kicked off in Vancouver was worth the wait.
“Just as it was 10 years ago, the show wasn’t about great singing or dancing,” wrote the reviewer. “But it was about great entertainment. And the girls delivered the spice.”
Not everyone were convinced though. Most negative critics come from the Spice Girls’ origin, United Kingdom.
London’s free daily the Metro headlined its review: “Spice Girls: Embarrassing and Lackluster,” although it conceded that more than 15,000 fans attending the sold-out gig seemed to enjoy the night nonetheless.
