Keys, whose album As I Am recently debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, will sing two tracks from the platinum-selling disc. Fellow Grammy winner Lenny Kravitz will join the singer and perform live in New York’s Times Square.
“Alicia has been a great friend to me and to my show,” Daly said in a statement. “She was the first guest we had on Last Call back in 2002. With Alicia being a New Yorker, she will bring the perfect vibe to a show that really showcases the city of New York. With Alicia and Lenny, this will be our best New Year’s show yet.”
Today correspondent Tiki Barber and MSNBC anchor Amy Robach will help Daly with live reports from the heart of Times Square, where hundreds of thousands of spectators gather to watch the famous ball drop at midnight and ring in the New Year.
NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly Presented by Chevy will air live on Monday, Dec. 31 at 11:35 p.m. ET.
