AC - December 8, 2007- Continuing in its tradition of hosting mega events for its players, the Atlantic City Hilton announced a private VIP tail reception and meet and greet featuring stars from two of HBO's mega-hit original series – The Sopranos and Entourage – which occured last night, Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 7 p.m. The event was held in the Ballroom (2nd Floor) and was predominately reserved exclusively for Hilton players.
While this exclusive tail reception was by invitation only, the general public had a chance to win their way into the event. Players who earned one point on their Resorts Destination Casino Club card between Nov 19and December 8 were automatically entered into a drawing to have their photo taken with the stars of The Sopranos and Entourage.
Alums of The Sopranos, Emmy Award-winner Michael Imperioli, who played Christopher Moltisanti, and Steven Schirripa, who played Bobby Baccalieri, appeared at the tail reception. Moltisanti was a protégé of Tony Soprano and a Capo in the DiMeo Crime Family. Bobby "Bacala" (as he was known)was Tony's brother-in-law and member of the Crime Family.
Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon represented Entourage at the event. Connolly plays Eric "E" Murphy, Vince's best friend since the age of 6, and who now works as Vince's manager. Dillon, an Emmy-nominee, plays the role of Johnny "Drama" Chase, Vince's older brother who serves as his personal trainer and chef.
"The success of The Sopranos relationship with the Hilton is well documented by numerous past events," said Phil Juliano, Executive Vice President of the Atlantic City Hilton. "And now, by combining the stars of Entourage and The Sopranos at one major event, we can appeal to new customers while continuing to please our current ones."
The Sopranos-Entourage reception comes on the heels of other highly touted events and promotions, including its Million Dollar Tournaments, the Rascal Flatts concert at Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall, and the Breeders' Cup events it hosted as the official casino sponsor of the horse races.
"The Atlantic City Hilton is committed to providing first-class events all year round," said Juliano. "As an Atlantic City native, I've seen an amazing evolution of this city from summer getaway to 12-month destination. The Hilton has not only recognized this shift, but has helped to spur it on by providing great entertainment and events throughout the year."
The Sopranos became an instant television legend as it famously chronicled the lives of a New Jersey organized crime family. The series ended earlier this year and soon after many of its cast members appeared at a special event presented by the Hilton and its sister property Resorts.
Entourage, the hit comedy series, follows the life of Vincent Chase, a young movie star in Hollywood. Both series have won several Emmy Awards and receive perpetual critical acclaim.
