Star-Studded Fight Club

As Brad Pitt can tell you, the first rule of Fight Club is that you do not talk about Fight Club. But at last night’s Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Ricky Hatton boxing match at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas, there was a lot to talk about. In addition to Brad and his main squeeze, Angelina Jolie, celebrities including Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Kid Rock, David Beckham and Denzel Washington came to watch Mayweather’s victory over Brit Hatton in the 10th round.

It came as no surprise that Dancing With the Stars’ Mayweather (who was escorted to the ring by fellow contestants Mark Cuban, Wayne Newton and Helio Castroneves) had more success with his boxing gloves than he did with his dancing feet — he was KOed from the reality show early in the season. But with this many celebrities in the audience, how could anybody pay attention to what was going on inside the ring?
