I bought the book and think all she trys to do is make her look like this perfect mother to Nathan and Marshall. She says in the book she was married and divorced a few times and all the men were drunks and were mean to her and she even states in it that Marshall beat her up a couple of times stating that he is angry over his life and what happened with him and Kim. She put all the blame on Kim stating everything was her fault why Marshall and her don't talk anymore. What she did basically in the book is brag what a PERFECT Mom she was. What a joke. Oh and also he never grew up poor so she says he had everything. RIGHT then why the hell didn't she move him out of Detroit! No Mom would stay there and let there kid get almost beat to death by school bullies! Between all the times she moved and all the men she had in and out of her life I am surprised Marshall turned out to be so determined. I feel the book is not worth buying.... Save your money! It just made me angry as her son feels!

And she has signed releases from all her family members she has pictured in the book? I think NOT. Publisher beware! She knows the ins and outs of law suits. I'm surprised she left herself wide open and published family members' pics without consent.

omg...this book is awesome...i want to read it over and over... this is like one of the first books i got into...i hate reading but this is one of the books i read...out of the vrey few...he is like the best guy in the world and to read this book about his mothers point of view was like so awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I read this book in about 4 hours. It was good. I don't necessarily believe everything she writes, but for the most part it feels real. Personally, I am not a fan of Eminem, and the unfortunate side affect of reading this book, personalized Marshall for me. I almost feel sorry for him.

his mother's pathetic, she can't not be there his whole life, and then when he's grown and rich she tries to come back into his life and play great mother role, his mom was a piece of then, and is a piece of now. and it's good she treated him the way she did because she was his inspiration. his lyrics wouldn't be nearly as good and deep without what he went through. i give him major props.

debbie you need to give up. eminem ain't lied on you. you know everything he says is the truth. stop tryin to make yourself look good because of the way you treated him. you should have thought about that years ago. why you keep sueing your own son. all you want is money. even the the things he says about you. face it its the truth. eminem is my rolemodel and has always been and will always. i look to eminem. eminem is the best thing that has happened to this world. he don't talk about bull. he states the truth. i love him for that. he talks about life and i can relate to him in so many ways. his song crazy in love off of encore is mine and my boyfriends song. eminem is the best.
