Sacha Baron Cohen Will No Longer Play Borat and Ali G Characters

Sacha Baron Cohen will say goodbye to two of his trademark chacaters Borat and ALi G. For those of you who wactch HBO knows that Cohen had a sketch comedy show on called the Ali G Show, were he played different characters such as Ali G and Borat. He made movies about both characters but it was Borat which garnered him the most notice from critics and fans. He even received an Academy award nomination for portraying Borat in the film.
In an article to Reuters, Cohen said, "When I was being Ali G and Borat, I was in character sometimes 14 hours a day and I came to love them. So admitting I am never going to play them again is quite a sad thing. It is like saying goodbye to a loved one. It is hard, and the problem with success, although it's fantastic, is that every new person who sees the Borat movie is one less person I 'get' with Borat again, so it's a kind of self-defeating form, really."



I will truly miss these characters.
