Christina Aguilera Will Give Birth By Cesarean Section

Never having been pregnant or given birth ourselves, we probably shouldn't talk, but this story from blogger Celebrity Body Gossip  (aka Dotspotter SkinnyCelebNews) makes us go "hmmmmmmmm."

Christina Aguilera is expected to deliver her first baby on January 10. She has scheduled a cesarean section, as she has opted to avoid the pain of a natural child birth.

The singer - who is expecting her first child with her music executive husband Jordan Bratman - has allegedly decided to go for the operation like many celebrities before her because she is too posh to push.

A source close to the star told The New York Post: “Christina has a C-section scheduled for January 10 but she might need to push the date of the delivery up.” [Source]

  • WOMEN SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHOOSE A C-SECTION IF THEY PREFER. MANY WOMEN ARE NOT JUST AFRAID OF THE BIRTH PAIN, BUT ALSO THE DAMAGE TO ONE’S VAGINA. I HAD A “NATURAL” BIRTH, BUT THE RECOVERY WAS HORRIBLE AND MY BODY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME (WITHOUT...

  • I had a natural birth with my 11 year old daughter and it was a joke. Im pregnant again and im having a scheduled c section. The pain put me off for 11 years, it was a degrading humillitaing and generally unpleasant experience. Am i to posh to push?...

  • My mom had me via c-section because I was in danger. I am 28 and her incision/scar still hurts. Also, there are pockets where it doesn't ever heal properly. I watched my friend stick her fingers INSIDE herself because she had a c-section 4 years ago...

  • Natural birth is much more unpredictable-the heart rate fluctuations, cord can wrap around neck, etc. whereas a C section is a controlled environment, However it is still surgery w/risks. Elective C s preserve hoo-has and hips and for those who...

  • All those judging her decision are lame. She is not vain for making a personal decision on how to bring her baby into the world. I promise her sacrafices the last 9 months give her the right to feel comfortable about what ever delivery method she...

  • I just wanted to say that c-sections are not the easy way out. I had one 5 months ago because my baby was breech and even though you don't go through labor or have to push the baby out, the first time the nurse comes to make you get out of bed you...

  • I have been through 4 live natural births. I wish I had the option to have had a c-section so my coochie wouldnt stretch.

  • Natural is the best way to go because gives the uterus a better way to convert down , but i guess with all that money you can pay for anything , I think c-sections should only be for mothers who can not deliver natural or emergancies only ! No one...

  • Some women are such masochists. How can women be so foolish to go through the torture of delivering babies vaginally and stretch their ....... till it tears apart when the technology allows us to get c-sections. we are in the 21st century you don't...

  • "actually a c-section is a direct correllation to the kind of mother she will be"
Hmmm .. dangerous choice of words!! I had my first baby via c section 15 months ago due to her being breech (I wanted a ntural birth but had no choice as they...

  • actually a c-section is a direct correllation to the kind of mother she will be. it is scientifically proven that women who do NOT go through the rite of passage of NATURAL (not just vaginal, but drug free!!!) birth, lose the physiological...

    • Haha.. You couldn't be more wrong. It doesn't matter how a woman brings a baby into this world. There are women who give birth vaginally who are unfit mothers as well. If what you were saying is true, then people wouldn't adopt kids.

  • People that can afford to chose can chose natural birth or C-Section or even chose to have the baby at home with a midwife. It's their business AND their choice. I think its stupid when people try to force what they think is proper on everybody...
