MISCHA BARTON released from jail

MISCHA BARTON has been released from jail.

The sheriff's department tells The Insider: "Detectives are continuing their investigation into Ms. Barton's arrest. She could be potentially charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana."

The 21-year-old actress was released Thursday following her arrest earlier this morning. She was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid license after "straddling two lanes of traffic and failing to signal when making a turn."
