Sean Penn & Robin Wright Penn Split

I really thought these two would make it -- they seemed made for each other, in a crazy sort of way.

Sean Penn and his wife of 11 years, Robin Wright Penn (you know, Jenny from Forest Gump), are getting a divorce. According to People.com, the couple's rep confirmed the split but said nothing else about it.

Sean and Robin were married in 1996, after dating for a few years. They have two teenage sons together.

Tell me, are you surprised?
