Jessica Simpson to Record Terrible Country Music Album

No, we’re not talking about being a reality TV ditz.

The reputed singer and actress has begun recording a country album.

“I am a country girl,” she said. “I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to. I always wanted to wait until the time was right.”

These boobs were made for giving country music a shot.

So why now? Well, what the hell else is there to do? Simpson’s most recent flick, Blonde Ambition, was a complete bomb given only a limited theatrical release and 2006’s Employee of the Month also blew failed to find a big audience.

Her last pop CD, 2006’s A Public Affair, also sucked ass underperformed.

“Writing is a release for me,” Jessica Simpson said of writing some of her own songs on the new record. “It’s a way for me to tell my story… It’s been a while since I have opened the book.” We didn’t actually know she could read.

In addition to the Country album, Simpson is also working on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo - if you know what we mean! We mean they’re dating, and from his angle, it’s not because of her brains or personality.
