Heigl looked stunning as she married musician Josh Kelley at their winter wonderland wedding in Park City, Utah.
Heigl, in a ruffled Oscar de la Renta gown, finished her look with a retro, ‘50s-inspired short hat veil.
The photos, from OK! magazine, capture the newlyweds showing off their custom wedding bands which were designed by Katherine and made by jeweler Ryan Ryan.
“It felt like an outdoor Christmas extravaganza and on top of that they had these little cookie baskets which were [full of] all their favorite cookie recipes made for the guests,” OK! magazine’s Ruth Hilton told Access Hollywood.Katherine was escorted down the aisle by her father, then she exchanged handwritten vows with Josh.
“Katherine said to Josh several months ago she really wanted him to write a beautiful song to walk up the aisle to. He wrote a song, a guitar and cello song called ‘December 23,’ which was specifically dedicated to Katherine,” Ruth said.
The original song was especially poignant because the couple met in 2005 while on set of his music video for “Only You.”
Presently, the couple is in Los Cabos, Mexico, soaking up the sun. They are honeymooning at the luxurious Five-star Esperanza resort.
As for kids in the couples’ future? Expect a lot.
“I’m excited about having a big family,” Heigl told OK! “I’m talking five or six.”
