Mary J. & More at CES' Monster Retailer Awards & Concert

Could it be? MORE action going on at the 2008 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show) than we possibly thought?  Looks like celeb singing talent is a big part of the package. Tonight's Monster Cable Retailer Awards and Concert is touted as the premiere event of the convention. Therefore, we declarativley name this awards concert as our official Event of the Week Las Vegas. What's in store? Queen of Hip-Hop Soul Mary J. Blige performs-- she even had her own contest surrounding her participation in the gig, at the Paris Hotel's Paris Ballroom beginning at 7:30 pm.  Ms. Blige follows the lead of several other music legends including: BB King, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, etc., all having performed in the past. Wait! Are they still giving away Mary J. Blige tickets?

Reports as recent as Monday January 7 indicate her "Growing Pains" Album (Geffen Records) is the number one selling album in the country.
