Daniel Day-Lewis’ performance in “There Will Be Blood” earned him raves in today’s nominations.
“No Country for Old Men,” earned eight nominations for the 80th Academy Awards, including nods for best picture, best director and best supporting actor.
Also getting eight nominations this year were “There Will Be Blood,” nabbing best picture, best director and best actor (Daniel Day-Lewis).
“Michael Clayton,” got seven: best picture, best director (Tony Gilroy), best actor (George Clooney), best supporting actor (Tom Wilkinson) and best supporting actress (Tilda Swinton).
“Atonement,” also named seven for best picture and best supporting actress (Saoirse Ronan).
