Rosie's Blog: America's most annoying celebrity - & she beat out stiff competition - Rosie O Donnell recently compared Britney Spears to Princess Diana. Most people are thinking the late Anna Nicole Smith. Give Brit credit, she recently made it through a 2 hour deposition, and arrived on time! Congratulations to both: Britney for getting it together, and Rosie for continuing to annoy America. Now that she's off daytime , Rosie will have even more time to annoy us via the Internet!

John Mayer Blog: John Mayer likes ex Jessica Simpson, almost as much as he likes the fajita stapler. He must be a Patriots fan. Both the fajita stapler and Jess's albums at one time would've featured prominently in K Tel TV commercials - though some might describe Jessica as 'a not ready for 8 Track player'!

Jennifer Love Hewitt Blog: Jennifer Love defended herself on her blog. She recently got the Tyra Banks treatment when some bikini pix of her were posted on the net. Her ass seemed as huge as Val Kilmer's pudgy face. Jenn says that she's a size 2, and that's not fat. At least she didn't try claiming that her ass is big boned!

Lily Allen Blog: Lily Allen has stated in no uncertain terms that she hates the whole phony hype that goes with celebrity. Well she's on the right track for entertainment blogging. Our little Catcher in the Rye also said in a NY interview that she can't wait to see Lindsay Lohan go to jail! She reserves her Myspace blog for more weighty issues, like explaining why she punched out a paparazzo.

Jenna Fischer's Blog: While Lily Allen wants every one to leave her alone, Jenna Fischer isn't so standoffish. In fact she will stop strangers in Central Park, and ask them to take her picture. At least she's straight forward about her 'celebrity' need for ego validation from people who don't really mean it. It really is a sickness. Don't worry about Jenna though. I'm sure she'll drop the desperation and move into bitch mode if she becomes more genuinely recognizable. They all do. For the time being though, she's still a person who needs real people, 'cause she still can't afford the phonys!

Zach Braff Blog: The Scrubs star uses his Myspace blog to clean up his image, and possibly hit on chicks. Zach lets it be known that he takes exception to being known as a 'cad' with a romantic track record even sketchier than my employment resume! He wants you to know that he's doing what every other single 32 year old man he knows is doing - which means that he's really no creepier than your average upwardly mobile New Yorker. Finally a come back role for Tom Cruise!

It might seem cynical and jaded to accuse celebs of having an insatiable need for attention. Perhaps they want us to know that they're real people struggling with real issues; like weight loss, plastic surgery, hair styles, and other important image related issues. Still, with the stock market plummeting, the Mid East War raging, and Presidential elections looking unpromising for anything other than a few scandals and cheap laughs, it's strangely reassuring that our stars remain blithely unaware of anything outside their own rarefied bubble world. They allow us to be vicariously out of touch. Here's hoping that they continue to remain immune to real thought and genuine emotion!
