The celebrity rumor mill just churned out the tidbit that twenty-six year old Bible-wielding actor-comedian Nick Cannon married twenty-four year old Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks. The dynamic duo have been an item for a whooping three weeks....does anyone else hear a shotgun? Anyone?
Nick and Selita began dating after meeting at Super Bowl weekend in Miami.
Celeb dishers share that the wedding-happy twenty somethings were staying at the Palms Casino Resort Hotel and attending events in celebration of Sin City's coveted NBA All-Star Weekend when they decided to get married.
Nick's alleged trip down the aisle could be viewed in male circles as a downgrade after trading in a budding porn star for a mere lingerie model. The Drumline star split with the adult film industry's newest resistant starlet, Kim Kardashian (AKA Kim K. Superstar), back in January.
"The weird thing is when he and Kim [Kardashian] dated, he said he didn't believe in monogamy," source went on.
"I don't believe in monogamy," is guy speak for "I don't like you enough to be faithful." It's a very common breakdown in translation similar in nature to "Yes, Dear," or "Why of course that maternity dress doesn't make you look fat!"
As the star of MTV's hit series "Wild'N Out," N.C's impromptu nuptials are just screaming to be chronicled on reality tv. Hey, how about a new generation of "Newlyweds." With Vanessa Minnillo begging her way out of her contract with the sinking ship that is "Total Request Live," taking her rack and exotic looks with her, the budget strapped MTV can use all the trashy new series they can get.
The new series could even become interactive, allowing viewers to place online votes on just how long it takes this three week courtship to make it's way over to another reality series, called "Divorce Court."
Mr. and Mrs. Cannon are planning to hold a wedding reception party in L.A. this weekend, pals say.
