Kirstie Alley is reportedly pissed off that people have been slamming Scientology. She vented her frustration in Ladies' Home Journal in their January issue:
"Why is it OK that Scientology gets slammed? A bigot is a bigot is a bigot."Kirstie became a Scientologist after attending the Narconon drug rehab program in 1979 and credits Scientology, along with Jenny Craig with helping her to shed the pounds.
Well, as much as everyone has a right to believe in whatever they want, people have the right to think that some actions by a particular well-known celebrity (Tom Cruise) are a little odd. Unfortunately for Scientologists, he has become the most well-known practicing member and so his behavior and actions tend to represent them. Yes, it's unfair to all Scientologists, but hey, he's out there and that's what people see.
