Sweeney Todd tops UK and Irish box office
The Tim Burton murder/musical production has topped the UK and Irish box office charts, taking the top spot during it's opening weekend.

The film which stars the gorgeous Johnny Depp as Todd, and Helena Bonham Carter (Burton's wife) took £4.5 million in ticket sales, more than four times that of Alien vs Predator: Requiem.

UK and Ireland top 5:

1. Sweeney Todd - £4.53m 2. Alien vs Predator: Requiem - £954,000 3. PS I Love You - £925,000 4. No Country For Old Men - £828,000 5. St Trinian's - £676,000
