Heath Ledger's family and friends bid farewell to the actor in an intimate ceremony yesterday (27.01.08). The 'Brokeback Mountain' star's body was flown to the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles on Saturday (26.01.08) where his family, ex-fiancée Michelle Williams and actress Naomi Watts visited to pay their respects. Ledger's body arrived at the mortuary on Saturday night, where security personnel guarded the gates and police officers swept the grounds after closing hours. Three black SUV's then arrived, believed to be carrying the late star's father, other relatives, Williams and her and Ledger's two-year-old daughter Matilda. They left half an hour later. Watts, who dated the 28-year-old star for two years until April 2004, was also seen entering the chapel. Ledger's body will now be shipped to Australia where he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Perth.
