Rod Stewart's ex-wife, Rachel Hunter is the new face of Slim-Fast and has hosted the Style Your Slim fashion show on Monday where women show off their figures after winning a battle with their weight. Rachel revealed that she has been battling her weight issues throughout her modeling career. She explained:
"I hate scales, I do not like hopping on them. Self-esteem sucks. I have fought with self-esteem. Some days you feel great about yourself and sometimes it's hard."
Getting older and maturing has really helped her feel more at ease about her weight though:
"I'm really comfortable at around 145 (pounds). People say, 'Oh my God, that's heavy!' I just love women who embrace what they've got."
It's really sad when women have to beat themselves up over not being as thin as they were when they were younger. It's impossible to compete with an 18-year-old model's figure - just accept that they're great to look at. The important thing these dieting folks should remember is to focus on good health instead. It's too much pressure to try to be thin and stay thin these days. I'm glad Rachel is comfortable at 145 pounds because that's not heavy for someone who's 5'10"!
