Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may adopt a boy from Vietnam!

Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the verge of adopting a new child? According to a source for Us Weekly, the couple have filed adoption paperwork with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration to adopt a boy from Ho Chi Minh City's Tam Binh Orphan Sponsor Centre.

The Centre's director, Nguyen Van Trung said that back in January two reporters from the UK's Times Daily visited the orphanage, presumably on behalf of the prospective adoptive parents. The reporters asked about the laws regarding Vietnamese adoption and were looking for "a 5-year-old brisk and pretty boy," according to the Vietnam News Network.

Trung said, "We would be very happy if a child here can be adopted; they will have a better life with their adoptive parents than in here. However, if foreigners want to adopt a Vietnamese child, they will have to follow Vietnamese laws." One stipulation of Vietnamese adoption law that could prove troubling for Brad and Angelina is that in order to adopt a child as a couple, they would need to be married. States Vietnam Express, "If they want to adopt a Vietnamese child, only one of the two can come forward and apply for the adoption."

Pitt and Jolie first visited Tam Binh Orphan Sponsor Centre last Thanksgiving. Jolie returned to the country last month for a meeting relating to her charity, the Maddox Jolie-Pitt Project. People magazine reported at the time that the visit was not related to another adoption for the family.
