Heath Ledger’s Death: Accidental Overdose

Just made public, the results of Heath Ledger’s autopsy tell that the actor’s death on January 22nd was due to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

“Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine,” spokesperson Ellen Borakove released in a statement on Wednesday morning .

"We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications,” the statement added.

According to People magazine, unnamed police sources had previously told the Associated Press that “the actor had six prescription drugs, including anti-anxiety medications and sleeping pills.”
