Anna Nicole Not Resting In Peace

Poor Anna Nicole Smith.  She’s the only person involved in her recent court cases who doesn’t seem to have an ulterior motive.  And that’s probably only because she’s dead.

Just when the American public thought it was safe to put the late starlet out of their minds for a few days, Anna Nicole’s estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, has thrown another wrench into her daughter’s funeral plans.

The ink has barely dried on weepy Judge Larry Seidlin’s decree allowing the guardian of Anna Nicole’s baby daughter Dannielynn to decide the former Playboy Playmate’s final resting place.  But, despite seeming to agree with court-appointed guardian Richard Milstein announcement last week that Anna Nicole would be buried next to her son Daniel in the Bahamas, Virgie Arthur has decided to appeal that decision.

The seemingly fame-seeking Texan has not given up on her petition to have both Anna Nicole and Daniel buried in her home state.  Instead, she’s lining up her lawyers to prevent Anna Nicole’s body from finally being released for burial.

In another unsurprising turn of events in the case, the bizarre Judge Seidlin (when was the last time you saw a judge openly crying on the bench?) may benefit from his mugging for the cameras.  Rumor has it that television execs have offered the judge his own television show, making his courtroom behavior just as suspicious as everybody else in the case.
