Royalty Graces the Sony BMG Grammy Party

A noticeably dateless John Mayer was just one of the Sony BMG Grammy Party attendees last night, held at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Grammy winners Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and Chaka Khan were all there, but it was the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin who was the center of everyone's attention.

Aretha spent her time at the party sitting in the middle of the room eating mini burgers bopping to the music, while celeb after celeb came to tell the queen how much they admired her.

She was wearing a huge fur coat -- which makes me think that PETA should have made their campaign against her and not the Olsen twins. Her coats probably kill twice the animals it takes to cover both twins' scrawny bodies.

And how awesome is it that Kat von D's make-up matches the clown's on that nasty burlap, midriff-baring, halter thing she's wearing? I'm not sure which one scares me more.
