James Blunt Under Investigation For Hit & Run In Los Angeles

Hassling singer James Blunt for an autograph may just cost ya a leg.

The entertainer and his model girlfriend, Petra Nemcova, are under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department for hit and run.

It all started as the couple were blowing off a Hollywood party on Friday night. According to multiple eyewitnesses, James drove their black SUV over the leg of an autograph seeker.

Sources dish that the LAPD has not yet "identified" the driver of the vehicle during the accident, however, a photo of Blunt in the driver's seat is currently making it's rounds on the World Wide Web.

PR Reps for "Team Blunt" say that, despite reports to the contrary, the person run over "wasn't a fan" and says, "It was a ton of paparazzi that were all swarming [James'] car as he was driving two MPH trying to navigate his way through them... They were invading his space. He was just trying to quietly leave the party."

The rep adds that James is "looking into the matter and will cooperate." (That's celebrity to victim speak for "You shut up, and we pay you.)
