Christian Slater, who once punched his girlfriend, Michelle Jonas, in the face while drunk and high on heroin, has turned into a real softie.
The reason? New girlfriend and Jimmy Choo shoe founder, Tamara Mellon.
“He does romantic things for me daily,” Tamara Mellon told Us Weekly at last night’s benefit for EIF’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund.
She and Christian Slater were set up through a mutual friend in London about five months ago. The rest has been totally romantic.
“What can I say, I was really blown away,” Christian Slater, 38, told Us of meeting Tamara Mellon, 40. “I just couldn’t believe it!
“She is beautiful, but there is a lot more going on with her, and we have already had a lot of great adventures together.”
No word on whether said adventures include wild nights out or quiet evenings on the sofa watching the Gene Simmons sex tape.
“We are just taking it one day at a time,” Slater said. “It’s wonderful.”
Next up for the couple: This weekend’s Academy Awards.
Tamara Mellon said she has been “very busy this week getting all the shoes ready” for the celebrities on the red carpet.
