Metal War: Morbid Angel vs. Deicide
[cut]I'm in a death metal mood today (well, even moreso than usual haha) so it's time for a death metal war.  Death metal is the most brutal form of music in the world, and is an acquired taste, even for metalheads.  It is condemned by those who do not understand it and cannot see past its hostile veneer.  But for those who listen to it and love it, it becomes an extremely passionate form of expression.

[/cut]Morbid Angel and Deicide are two bands from Tampa, FL who had an immense hand in creating and defining death metal in its early stages as a separate entity from its ancestor, thrash metal. [Cut = Read more...]  While Morbid Angel has broken up and has not released anything since 2003, Deicide continues to explore the boundaries of heaviness with new material, such as 2006's The Stench of Redemption.
