Alexa Ray Joel, 21, the daughter of singer Billy Joel and supermodel Christie Brinkley opens up to extra about her mom's recent divorce to Peter Cook and about her famous dad.
In regard to how her mom is doing regarding the public divorce, Alexa says her mom has come out stronger, smarter and more beautiful than ever. She says her mom is a good influence to her, in regards of how to deal with the media and press. Growing up her whole life with "piano man" Billy Joel as her dad has sparked a passion for piano playing, singing, and song writing. Of her career, she says her father is happy for her but tends to be more laid back, while mom Christie is a front row cheerleader that mouths the words to her songs.
Although Alexa says she can always rely on her parents, she is determined to step out of their shadow and make a name for herself as a musician.
