Whoppi gets an apology from the producer of the Oscars

Everyone took notice, when Whoopi Goldgerg became emotional Monday on The View while discussing the fact that she was omitted from the montage of hosts during the Academy Awards broadcast. Whoopi announced on The View today that Gil Cates the shows producer called her and said "he made an oversight, pure and simple. You know I love you ... It was a mistake, and I'm sorry I didn't catch it."

It is always big of someone to admit a mistake, I'm just not buying that it was a mistake. I seriously doubt there were many black women with dread locks on the Oscar's footage, she is kinda hard to miss in a sea of white folks. I think that Whoopi is on a top rated daytime show, and showed that she was really upset by the snubb. With the strong reactions and support she got from her fans, I think the Academy folks decided it was in there best interest to make nice. But, hey that's showbiz. Are you a publicty stunter? • I agree! That was a pretty BIG oversight. I'm glad Gil appologized, but that was mistake that never should've happened. Whoever put together that bollocks of a montage was probably fired.
