Gunman Opens Fire at Wendy's in West Palm Beach, Florida

A gunman opened fire at a Wendy's restaurant in West Palm Beach, Florida today. Two people are reported dead (including the gunman who is believed to have killed himself) and several others are wounded according to ABC News. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office reported that at least two people including the shooter are dead and that three people are in critical condition. Two others were injured but it is not clear if they were shot.

Ashley Milton told the Associated Press that she had opened the door to get lunch when she head the "pop pop" of gunfire and saw people running. She said:
"I really didn't think that's what it was. I thought this can't be happening. You see your life flash before your eyes."

The shooter was described by witnesses as a tall man in a suit who started shooting after he came out of the restroom according to WPBF.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Teri Barbera told WPBF that the shooter allegedly first shot and killed a man standing by the railing near the front counter then proceeded to shoot several others inside, hitting at least four others. It's also not clear whether or not the gunman knew any of the victims.

It's scary that we hear about these kind of stories on a regular basis now. It seems as though this can happen just about anywhere now. Since the gunman was wearing a suit, one can guess that he might have been out searching for a job. So many mentally unstable people out there...it's frightening and it seems to only be getting worse every day.
