O’Hara, 24, a U.S. army paratrooper who served for 15 months in Iraq and a tour in Afghanistan, slipped off the sixth-story roof of the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel last Thursday while working for his brother-in-law’s snow-removal business.
“We’re going to do full military honors at the funeral,” Major Tom Earnhardt, spokesman for the 82nd Airborne Division, tells Usmagazine.com. “The firing party, the pall bearers, the folding of the flag and the presenting of the flag to the next of kin.”
Montag — who is still in L.A. — is preparing to fly to Colorado later tonight with beau Spencer Pratt.
The Hills star is devastated over the loss.
“He was the most likable, funny, smartest guy,” she tells Us. “His death makes me appreciate every person in my life. It’s brought me back to reality.”
