Paris Hilton out on the town with a monk? Sure it was a publicity stunt, but how far from the truth is it when A-list celebrities start looking for their own personal Jesus?
It all started with Richard Gere. The silver haired actor became besties with His Holiness the Dalai Lama back in the 80s. From there, we've seen other celebs flock to religion to find themselves and balance the craziness that is the Hollywood scene.
Scientology, of course, has numerous celebrity observants – from Tom Cruise, to Beck, Juliette Lewis, and John Travolta. But other religions, like Kabbalah with devotees like Madonna and Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher (who have since cooled on their religious fervor), also pull in mega-watt supporters.
So, is it really so ridiculous to see Paris with a monk and believe it's her latest favorite fad? Celebs spend so much of their time losing their religion, it's no surprise to us when they want to find it again.
