Poor Sanjaya…Reduced To Singing At A Bat Mitzvah
How the mighty have fallen!  It was just a little over a year ago when “Sanjaya Fever” was hitting the nation like a ton of hair.  He was barely hanging on at Idol, while appearing everywhere he could for publicity.  Then, like his talent, he disappeared.

Fear not Sanjaya fans, you too can rent him to come to your special occassion.  That’s right….Sanjaya is for hire, and is on fire!  Just ask little Rachel Lader:

This past weekend, Sanjaya entertained at 12-year-old Rachel Lader’s black-tie, 300-guest bat mitzvah at Oheka Castle in Huntington. She planned to donate her bat mitzvah gifts to charities including Best Buddies, Willie Randolph Foundation, Realizing The Dream and DeWayne Murcer Memorial Foundation.

“No, I’ve never done a bat mitzvah before,” said a smiling Malakar, who planned to serenade the Woodbury girl with “Isn’t She Lovely” during her first dance with daddy. Afterward, it would be “You Really Got Me,” which he sang twice on “Idol,” once with Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry.  

Apparently, MTV caught most of this, including his visit to a salon, and will hopefully broadcast the entire thing!  Maybe his next job will be “singing telegrams?”
