Celebrities and politicians always seem to get linked together somehow.  And luckily for Barack Obama two of Hollywood’s hottest - Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner- are backing him up in this election year.

Getting back to his hometown roots, the “Good Will Hunting” actor/writer hosted a fundraiser for the Democratic Presidential Candidate at Boston nightclub Rumor yesterday.


They started off the night with a pre-party wherein a $250 ticket bought a little bit of face time with Bennifer.  Of course, those passes sold out quickly.

After that, the “Alias” actress and her “Armageddon” actor hubby mingled amongst the $50 ticketholders for a bit.  All in all, they raised a tidy sum for their favorite candidate.
