The Good Charlotte rocker - who has a two-month-old daughter Harlow with Nicole Richie, Paris' 'The Simple Life' co-star - says his brother's relationship with the hotel heiress is "nothing new".
Speaking at the opening of the Madden brothers' new DCMA Collective clothing store in Los Angeles, Joel said: "It's not the first time we have all hung out.
"We have obviously known Paris for a long time, and Nicole and Paris have known each other for a long time, so it's nothing new."
Meanwhile, Paris is so smitten with her new boyfriend she is going to join him on the road for Good Charlotte's tour.
She said: "We're actually leaving in a couple days for South Africa, so I'll be with him. I'm just happy to be together, so no matter where we are, we'll have a great time."
Benji, who plays guitar in the band, added: "I'd do anything Paris wanted. I'm a really easy guy to read. Everyone can tell I'm really happy. She's the most supportive girlfriend, and I try to be the same way for her."
Good Charlotte will begin their tour in Johannesburg and Cape Town, before heading to Europe and then to North America in the summer to showcase their new album, 'Good Morning Revival.'
