Tanya Tucker’s American Idol Connection

American Idol contestant Kristy Lee Cook once had a manager in the form of Marty Rendleman and she revealed that country legend Tanya Tucker called the Idol wannabe last week to lend some advice. It wasn’t a random call however as the two country gals have a past. Marty also revealed that when Kristy was 16, she called her then manager to get tickets to an Oregon country fair where Tanya was performing. Marty did one better by talking Tanya into letting Kristy sings a couple of songs on stage. Marty is still friends with Tanya and told her about Kristy being on Idol, thus the phone call.
