Michelle Trachtenberg To Be On 'Gossip Girl'
Michelle Trachtenberg, seen here at the premiere for 10,000 B.C. is looking serene and porcelain-skinned. It's a little unnerving. Especially if you're Mischa Barton because it will become the face of the woman who is stealing your career--or the semblance of a career that you seemed to have for a brief moment in time. Or maybe rather than stealing, she's more deservedly taking it over.

Trachtenberg has signed on to guest-star on Gossip Girl, taking on the role of Georgina Sparks. Appearing in multiple episodes, Trachtenberg's character is fresh out of rehab and back in Manhattan, driving Blake Lively's character, Serena van der Woodsen all kinds of crazy. This is a role that Barton reportedly was offered, but turned down.

Not that I don't think Michelle will do anything less than a great job, but really, from the character description, doesn't it seem like Mischa could have phoned this one in and still nailed it? It would have been like when Joan Rivers starred in that movie about her life.
