Mariah Carey has been famous for just about as long as we can remember. And the divalicious chanteuse is about to prove once and for all that she's the queen of R&B by passing The King, Elvis Presley, for the most number-one singles by a solo artist. Her latest single "Touch My Body" is climbing up the charts even though her album "E=MC2" doesn't hit stores until April 15th.
Miss Mariah celebrates her 38th birthday this week. And for the past 18 years (longer than some of us have been alive!), Mariah's been a show stopper. With a five-octave vocal range and curves that won't quit, Mariah may be a veteran in the music industry, but she's far from old news.
Her story is definitely "True Hollywood" material, though, with a turbulent marriage to Tommy Mottola, the record exec who helped her become famous in the first place, to a bomb of a box office premiere (anyone remember "Glitter"?), and a well-publicized break down. But, Mariah has emerged in recent years as a more confident, still sexy artist with talent to spare. Not to mention over $200 million in the bank for all those hit records.
What do you think of Mariah Carey? Do you like her latest single?
