The 23-year-old son was reportedly seen last month "canoodling" with the 33-year-old Imbruglia at a celebrity party in London. However, Branson says the "Wrong Impression" singer is just "a close friend of the family."
He tells The Daily Telegraph, "Sam was very flattered to have his name attached to hers, but he actually already has a girlfriend."
"He's known Natalie since he was about 15, she's a close friend of the family, but even if there was a temptation there, he's safe in the Arctic for the next while anyway."
