Whitney is Regina George!! America's Next Top Model episode 6 review

Okay so this is a bit late but as I’m in the UK I have to wait for those lovely people on youtube to upload the latest ANTM episodes and episode 6 literally just went online. It was worth waiting for though; the girls this season are great. The drama is bigger, their pictures are better. I am falling back in love with America’s Next Top Model.

Lets start with Tyra. She’s up to her usual tricks, and was teaching the girls how to pose like they’re in pain. That’s right, feel the stomach cramps and pose like you’re on your period! Apparently it’s the industry’s best-kept secret! Personally I think Tyra should have gone round slapping the girls and show them some real pain. Lord knows that’s what I’d do if I came face to face with some of them (Whitney I would slap the fat off you!)

So Anya won the posing-like-you’re-on-your-period challenge and got to do a nude shoot with Nigel Barker. When it was announced she’d won I was like ‘Anya who?’ I mean we’re 6 episodes in now and this is the first time I’ve even noticed this girl! But after seeing her shoot with Nigel, she’s actually pretty FIERCE! A dark horse, perhaps (even though she looks a bit albino)

The rest of the drama this episode was all based around Dominique vs. Claire, Whitney and Lauren. At first I was totally on Claire’s side. Not only does she look like a boy but now she’s turning into one as she revealed her milk is drying up so she won’t be able to breast feed her baby. I can’t help but feel this was a little too much information but this is Top Model so I’ll let it go. That said Claire needs to move away from Whitney and Lauren. The three together are so bitchy to Dominique, and even though she is an over-confident, highly irritating, bad model whose only decent photo (last week) set a new airbrush record that even Mariah Carey would be jealous of, she doesn’t deserve that much hate.

Then we have Whitney. Regardless of how great her photos are (and they ARE good; she was called first in judging this week) Whitney is a bitch. Just from watching the ‘Previously on Next Top Model’ bit at the start of the show, my hatred for her was renewed. She sits on her enormous arse laughing at other peoples’ arguments, before joining in herself even if it has nothing to do with her. And what the hell is going on with Lauren? That girl needs restraining, she clearly has anger management issues. She comes across as totally immature and clueless.

This week’s shoot was based around different musical genres. My girl, Katarzyna easily had the best shot. Other strong pics came from Whitney, Fatima and Lauren. However Claire and Aimee both struggled on their shoots and ended up in the bottom two before Aimee was eventually sent packing.
