Mischa Barton's partying caused Cisco Adler to dump her

Only in Hollywood could a skinny 21-year-old outparty a 28-year-old rock star. But sources are saying that's just what Mischa Barton did to her boyfriend, Cisco Adler. The pair split up last month amidst rumors that the naked pictures of Adler floating around the Internet were too much for demure Barton. Instead it was Mischa's devotion to nightlife and her need for commitment that caused the split.

An insider told the National Enquirer, "Mischa didn't care about the photos…Mischa is crazy about Cisco, she forgave him. Cisco broke up with her. She's just too much of a partier." Adler had been dedicated to the relationship, but it wasn't enough for Barton and her neediness on top of her wild behavior pushed him away. "Cisco gave her a diamond 'promise' ring, but Mischa was still pushing him for a formal engagement," said the source.

Mischa's need to party away her sorrows can be traced back to her departure from "The O.C.," claims the snitch. "She's had a lot of time on her hands and has filled it with late-night Hollywood parties. It was finally too much even for Cisco to handle - and now Mischa is devastated…He tried to get her to tone it down and even talked to her friends about reining her in. But nothing worked - even after her sister [Hania] went into rehab…Cisco hoped Hania's problem would be a wakeup call to Mischa - but it hasn't been," the source said.

And while Mischa has been dealing with the split by medicating herself with drugs (she was recently caught smoking pot in her car), Cisco seems to be handling the break up just fine. According to the insider, he has been telling people, "We're better off apart. She's too crazy for me!"
