Kylie Minogue launches final attempt to crack the US

Kylie Minogue has launched one final attempt to crack the US.

The ‘Wow’ singer - who has only had two top 10 Stateside hits, ‘The
Locomotion’ in 1988 and 2002’s ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ - is set to
appear on several hit US TV shows to promote her new album ‘X’.
A source said: “It eats away at Kylie that she has never been big there. She
has tried before and it didn’t happen. But being the kind of determined
person she is, she’s giving it one more go.”
Yesterday (31.03.08), Kylie was interviewed on ‘The Today Show’ and won over
the audience by opening her heart about her breast cancer battle.
She said: “I am feeling great. It is something that is always with me and on
my mind, but you get up and carry on. My diagnosis was almost a blessing in
disguise because it came midway through my tour. It was an incredible goal
to have to get back on stage.”
Kylie also spoke about her desire for success in the US, saying: “It’s a
notoriously difficult market. To know where I fit within that market is very
difficult.”
The 39-year-old star is also booked to appear on ‘The Late Late Show’, ‘The
Ellen DeGeneres Show’ and ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
