Ok so I'm like 4 or 5 yrs old, alone in my room and bored when I notice these orange handled scissors staring at me. I casually decide my current hairstyle just isn't for me, and of course I get to cutting....mid-way through my new do (imagine a bunch of patches where little ponytails used to be), things aren't going so well , so I begin to cry out of frustration and humiliation (too young to be cutting my hair, but old enough to know my botched fro was not hot) as my mom startles me with a series of sharp questions like "Little Betty? Why did you do this? Did you do this"? (I now feel like these were silliest of questions ..Like who else did it?) Anyway... I answered and "No Mama" She shifts her body from one side to the other, placed her hand on her hip and asks "Well who did it then?" I sobbed while holding the scissors and explained "When I woke up (apparently I put my 4/5yr old self down for a nap) it was like this!" My mother became enraged and I now understand why...It wasn't because I cut my hair (I'm sure she wasn't happy I looked like buckwheat..but still) and it wasn't because I, (as Hilary Clinton would say) "mis-spoke" either (disappointed maybe). My mother was pissed because I had insulted her intelligence by telling such a big ass whopper and basically said "you don't see what you see" all while holding the evidence in my hand.
I told this long drawn out story because I wanted to talk about me I felt that same annoyance my mother did.....when I read that after Chris brown told US weekly he had a crush on Rhi Rhi in the past, they flirted at the 2007 VMAs and "we haven’t taken it to that next level yet." Yet? and after all the photos of them, pool side nose nuzzling (exhibit A), sporting matching tatoos and bracelets (exhibit B and C) and taking destination honeymoon type vacations together (exhibit...) that we've had it all wrong . Chris and Rihanna--the couple that's not dating went on record Saturday at the Kid's Choice awards to explain their relationship,

friends honestly, like brother and sister....we both started our careers

C'mon kids other than Angelina and her brother, what siblings, you know are all up on each other like that? Even if they meant fake "brother and sister" like Denise and Theo or Greg and Marsha? You never saw the huxtable kids engage in PDA, I don't remember an episodes of the Cosby Show where Denise is laying her head in Theo's lap while he snuggles in her ear.....and while they did sometimes inappropriately flirt even when Greg and Marsha did "Sunshine Day, they dance seductively. Don't get me wrong I like these two, but I don't really care if they're dating or if they're just friends, but when they said they're like brother and sister.. I think I'd much rather these two just say what I wish I could've said to my mother on that awful hair day "No Comment" or "None of your business"! (Just jokes mom...*wink*)
