“I was first introduced to Angelina by a makeup artist I worked with,” Sean, who did the session in Brentwood, Calif., in March 1992, tells In Touch. “She said, ‘I have met a girl who is very sweet and good-looking. You are going to want to shoot her.’ She was right. As soon as I saw her, I said, ‘Let’s set it up.’” “Most teenage models are like deer caught in the headlights,” says Sean. “Not her. She was creative, very imaginative. And she seemed far more worldly than any 16-year-old I had met.”

If Angelina had stuck with modeling, Sean believes she would have eventually succeeded. After this photo shoot, a rep for a high-end swimsuit company wanted her to become their model, but Angelina had other ideas. Sean wasn’t really surprised when Angelina turned her dreams of acting into reality. “She mentioned that she wanted to act, so I had a feeling that would supersede the modeling,“ he says. “I could tell there was more to her.”

Three years later, Angie had achieved her goal of becoming an actress, and Sean got another look at the girl whose photograph he once shot. “The first time I saw Angie after the shoot was in Hackers,” he recalls. “I thought, ‘Good for her.’ I am not surprised by her success. I knew she was going to do well at something.”
