Kristi Yamaguchi Celebrates Her First 10 on DWTS

Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas nabbed the first 10s of the season on last night's Dancing With the Stars.

The two — who have been the top scorers on the show so far — wowed the judges with their paso doble. (Their score: 10-9-10.)

"I was like, 'Yeeesss!'" Yamaguchi told Usmagazine.com after her performance. "You just feel like it validated all the work you did. It was a tough week — emotionally draining. We knew we had to be really good this week."

Despite Mario and Karina Smirnoff only earning an 8-7-9 for their paso doble, the R&B singer told Us, "I thought we could have had a higher score — we killed it!"

Derek Hough may have injured his neck last week, but he and Shannon Elisabeth still managed to earn a 9-10-9 for their Vietnamese waltz.

"I could have not done it without Shannon," Hough told Us. "She has been the best pain killer there is!"

The night's numbers:
Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas: 29/30
Jason Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska: 29/30
Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough: 28/30
Cristian de la Fuente and Cheryl Burke: 26/30
